Overview

Credit Controller We are recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller on behalf of our Tamworth based client. The Credit Controller is responsible for the smooth operation of the credit control function for the Group. Key Responsibilities • To perform all credit control tasks for customers in the UK and Ireland • Chasing customers for payment, following up calls and resolving complaints whilst maintaining excellent customer service and customer • Investigating customer queries and liaising with depots and customers direct • To carry out all legal preparation work in respect of delinquent accounts, including liaison with the Company's solicitors • To work with the Company on the development of credit control tools that can be used by depots, in order to drive forward the effectiveness and efficiency of the credit control function. • Other ad-hoc duties as requested by Senior team members, including providing cover for other areas of the Finance Department • Assisting in the review of customer credit applications • The updating and monitoring of the customer Masterfile where appropriate Key Skills • Excellent operating knowledge of accounting software packages • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and email packages, or equivalent, including advanced spreadsheet and word processing skills • Excellent interpersonal skills, to include strong written and verbal communication, both internally and externally • Has the ability to remain calm under pressure • Possesses relevant legal experience and knowledge, including knowledge of the effects of different courses of actions available to deal with delinquent customer accounts • Proactively seeks to improve systems, and is able to bring forward ideas for improvement of the credit control systems • Proven track record of developing and maintaining effective credit control systems • Is in possession of recognised professional credit control qualifications • Proven track record of customer account query maintenance & resolution In return you can expect a salary of between £21,000 - £23,000, working Monday to Friday with flexible working hours, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
