Overview
Specialist Support Worker -Learning Disability Your new company An opportunity to work within an exceptional residential school in the outskirts located in Glasgow and Ayrshire. They provided care to children who have learning disabilities or who have additional support needs. They are passionate about ensuring every child has a positive experience through sensory work and applying key activities to encourage social activities. Your new role You will be working with a number of children who have specific needs and routine to ensure they are kept safe and secure within the a residential setting. You will be challenged daily and well versed to be able to minimise and behaviours that might trigger challenging behaviour which could put individuals at risk. You will be motivating and enabling individuals while encouraging them to be as independent as possible. What you'll need to succeed You must be able to adapt to changes and encourage others to interact.
