Accountant – Competitive Salary – North Finchley, London The Role A three partner firm of Chartered Accountants is seeking a full time accountant. The successful candidate will mainly work for one partner at our Finchley office. The role is suitable for candidates with AAT or ACCA qualifications or an individual qualified by good experience in general practice. The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns. Preparing and filing VAT returns. Preparing sole trader and partnership accounts, personal tax returns to include income tax and capital allowance computations. Regular bookkeeping work for a couple of clients using SAGE and Xero. Using SAGE, Xero and Quickbooks software packages for a large variety of limited company clients. The Company Established in 1929, we are Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors based in London with offices in North Finchley and Crouch End. We offer a wide range of accounting and tax planning services for both start-up and established businesses. The Person The key skills and qualities include: The successful candidate must have excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel; alongside a solid understanding of SAGE, Xero, Quickbooks, CCH and PTP. Competency in taxation work, self-assessment, and the filing of returns with HMRC and accounts at Companies House. You must be well organised and a good communicator.
