Your new role South Somerset District Council are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Planner to join their development management operation - a team which is heavily involved with three major and exciting regeneration projects in Yeovil, Wincanton and Chard. You will manage a varied case load including complex minors, majors, and major-major applications, leading on committee meetings and representing at planning appeals. What you'll need to succeed Your new employer receives over 2000 planning applications per year covering 370 square miles, therefore you'll need to join with a proven expertise in planning, ideally development management and assisting in delivering projects and programmes. Ideally, you will have a qualification accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institution, or similar.
