Overview
Buyer Are you an experienced Buyer looking for an exciting new challenge? If so Berry Recruitment has the ideal opportunity for you. Working with a unique, family run business who are experiencing fantastic growth and expansion, and are seeking a Buyer to plan, coordinate and control the procurement of new produce and negotiate pricing. BUYER ROLE: You will be responsible for ensuring that all goods are purchased efficiently and that all quotations are produced accurately and deliveries are correct and shortages are reported immediately. Your key focus is customer satisfaction. DUTIES INCLUDE: Liaising with external and internal departments to ensure information is accurately cascaded Negotiating with suppliers to ensure best pricing Ensuring all produce is ordered within the designated time frames Maintaining relationships with existing customers whilst building relationships with new clients Daily stock take required. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE Must have previous working knowledge in a similar role Will have excellent written and verbal communication skills Will be able to manage workloads in a timely manner with the ability to proactively resolve any issues Will have strong networking skills and be able to build rapport with potential new clients Valid driver's license is essential due to attending client visits if required. Training will be given on the in-house I.T package. Full understanding of MS Office packages with a focus on Excel. SALARY/BENEFITS £9.00 to £10.50 per hour Working Monday to Friday 9.00am-17.30pm Onsite Parking Temporary ongoing position.
