Overview
Asad is recruiting for a Development Chemist on behalf of a speciality chemical manufacturing company at their site in Cramlington on a permanent basis. Joining the company during a period of growth, you will be working on an exciting range of client centred projects and have excellent opportunities for career development. You will be responsible for developing and demonstrating new processing in the laboratory and translate those processes into one which is capable of running within the SPSL assets at the appropriate scale. Main accountabilities include: - Support scale-up, pilot, semi works and commercial manufacture, which may include shift working. - Comply with all HSE requirements including safety policies and procedures. - Define and/or demonstrate process route(s), draft process outlines and approve PRSs. To be considered for the position you should be: - Qualified to PhD level, or possess equivalent experience, in organic chemistry or a related subject. - Ideally have experience in synthetic route development and have worked to GMP standards, although this is not essential as training will be provided. - Several years of R & D experience will be highly desirable Job ref 47845 It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK
