Overview

Job Summary Retired GP Applications Care UK, along with other independent providers of healthcare services are working with the NHS in a collective effort to combat the crisis posed by COVID-19. In our collective response to COVID-19 Care UK are urgently seeking applications from recently retired GPs to respond to increased demand in calls to our NHS 111 and Out-of-Hours services. Your experience can be utilised in this time of national crisis to provide clinical support, guidance and direction. Furthermore as experienced doctors you too will be able to provide a sense of calm, stoic response, the ripple effect of which will be felt beyond any social or healthcare setting. Importantly the work you’re able to undertake with us will be conducting telephone and online triage services, meaning this can be conducted from your own home. Thus, you can be part of this national effort even if you yourself fall into any of the vulnerable categories associated with COVID-19. We will provide any necessary equipment, training and support to aid you in undertaking this task. Our well established and experienced medical and clinical leadership teams will help you deliver safe and efficient care. The GMC and the Performers List are implementing pathways for you to gain temporary registration which we will guide you through. You can choose how much time you contribute and will be free to stop working at any time. Your contract will reflect this and will be temporary in nature enabling you to work throughout the national effort, your contract will also reflect standard Care UK terms and conditions, such as annual leave entitlement and working hour protections.
