Business Analyst – £35k - £50K Are you a proactive & driven professional? Are you passionate about product innovation & solutions? This exciting & RARE opportunity to work within Software/Systems engineering is not to be missed…… Working in a positive & dynamic team of approx. 15 you will be responsible for identifying, researching & evaluating possible software products/enhancements for new & existing clients. Using various tools available to you such has, existing customers, software & hardware developers and system test teams, you will identify & coordinate requirements for the development backlog. The Business Analyst will be working with a Product Owner, UX team and on-site and off-shore software development teams, in an Agile Environment and will be responsible for defining/refining user stories aligned to a delivery roadmap, to ensure the “user story pipeline” is sufficient to maintain several parallel software development streams If you want to work with Modern Development Environments, in a highly successful company, then this could be the role for you with a salary of up to £50K, free parking & excellent benefits – based in Poole. Responsibilities of the Business Analyst : •Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand and investigate requirements •Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of stakeholders and the organisation as a whole •Use data modelling practices to analyse your findings and work with a product owner to create user stories with acceptance criteria in the backlog •Communicate the functional goal of the user stories across teams and help to address any uncertainty and/or concerns •Work with UX and software engineering teams to refine the user stories with associated data requirements & business rules and work through any questions and rework as required •Consider opportunities and potential risks attached to suggestions you make •Produce written documentation to support your work, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders when necessary •Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices •Assist in the preparation of project functional and technical documents to support handover to Customer Support teams. Support Knowledge Transfer to Customer Support teams Skills & Characteristics of the Business Analyst: •Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or other engineering or scientific field (or equivalent experience) •Experience of liaising with internal and external stakeholders to detail user stories •Experience of working in an Agile Environment to detail user stories •Experience of liaising with customers on complex technical projects •Experience of deconstructing complex functional requirements into epics and user stories for delivery in parallel by multiple software development teams •Experience of defining user stories and supporting acceptance criteria in conjunction with UX team •Experience of backlog creation using Jira and TFS tools •Experience of working alongside software development teams supporting Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning •Experience of working with software teams developing integrated Cloud, Back-Office and Embedded solutions •Experience of working with development teams that utilise CI/Test Automation What’s in it for you? · Excellent salary of £35k - £50K depending on experience · Free parking · Pension Contributions · Life Assurance · 25 Days Holiday Bank Holidays · Friendly/sociable working environment · Hours are 09:00 till 17:30 Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) · Permanent Position · Free tea & coffee AND Fresh Fruit This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89514164
