Overview
A leading and experienced Social Care Provider is looking for a registered manager to provide effective leadership and management of residential services for children and young people. The person will be the Ofsted registered Service Manager for designated Homes/Units and act on behalf of the organisation to ensure that the Homes/Units meet relevant requirements set out in legislation. They will provide a lead in the decisions and management of placements within the Residential and Outreach provisions, and to liaise with partners in formulating jointly agreed plans, to ensure a coordinated approach to services for children and young people. Essential Requirements Management qualification NVQ 5 in Leadership Recent and proven experience as a Registered Manager in a residential children’s home setting Managed and led prior Ofsted inspections as a registered manager Key Tasks To assume direct responsibility for the support and supervision of Residential Deputy/Lead Managers. To participate in the recruitment and selection of staff. To ensure that staff are trained appropriately to meet the requirements of Care Standards. To ensure that staff are adequately trained to deliver the quality of care which is the hallmark of the Company’s child care practice. Ensure the children's Homes are fully prepared and ready for regular Ofsted inspections in line with Ofsted Inspection Framework.
