Overview

CNC Machinists required to work a weekend day shift for an aerospace business. Long term temp assignments Your new company Your new company are a world class provider of components and services to the aerospace industry. Due to growth of the company and new product development they require a number of skilled and/or semi-skilled CNC machine operators to work on long term temporary contracts. The contracts have no end date and they can't be guaranteed that you will be made permanent. Your new role This CNC job will be responsible for the operation of the most up-to-date CNC 5 axis machines and other equipment to produce conforming components, within the established time and to the required quality standard. You'll assist with machine set-ups as required, set tools, load to machine and change as necessary. For the skilled positions you'll be responsible for reading the job requirements from drawings, production cards or job instruction sheets, this is including geometric dimensioning and tolerances. Finally, you'll verify that components conform to drawing using appropriate, defined measuring equipment and quality procedures. This role is a Weekend Days role consisting of week 1 working Friday, Saturday and Sunday and week 2 working Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. What you'll need to succeed You'll have at least 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing / engineering environment and ideally at least 1 years' experience of operating multi axis CNC machine tools. For the skilled positions you must be time-served with a recognised apprentice and you'll have experience of working to and implementing quality standards across your role. What you'll get in return You will receive an hourly rate of between £10.57 - £12.59 basic dependent on experience 50% shift allowance.
