Job Details Grade: 9A Hourly Rate: £18.9290 - £20.6890 Salary: £34,545.39 - £37,757.38 per annum Contract Duration: Permanent Role Purpose Scottish Borders Council is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Engineer to work primarily within the Bridges Team, part of the Roads & Infrastructure Service. The successful applicant will play a vital role in the management of the road structure assets (bridges, culverts and walls). Duties will typically include using and providing technical expertise to deliver capital and revenue projects, along with assisting the Team Leader with managing the assets in compliance with the relevant legislation. Essential Educated to Degree level in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline or present evidence of comparable experience and training. Membership of Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Highways and Transportation, or willing to obtain within agreed timescale on appointment A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
