Principal Engineer - Functional Safety – Midlands – Up to 60,000 DOE I am working with a blue-chip automotive business and am currently looking for a Principal Functional Safety Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis in their state of art offices based in the Midlands.Taking a lead in the technical management of ISO26262 Functional Safety Projects, dFMEAs and associated diagnostics based on ISO26262. Personal Specification (i.e. education, experience, skills and attributes) ·Hands-on experience is essential preferably within the Automotive Industry ·Experience of implementing a functional safety process for an embedded systems project. ·Some experience of developing associated diagnostic requirements & strategies associated with Functional Safety implementation. ·Working knowledge of functional safety standards e.g. IEC61508, DO 178B/C, ISO26262. ·Experience of undertaking DFMEA at System & Sub-System level ·Preferred experience working with hybrid & battery electric vehicles. Main Duties & Responsibilities ·Leading the functional safety aspects of all projects using ISO 26262 ·System requirements & analysis ·Defining & analysing Hardware requirements ·Concept & Production development ·Specifying & supporting Software verification for systems up to & including ASIL D Level. ·Undertaking DFMEA tasks at System & Sub-System levels ·Support process & procedures development ·Supporting the implementation of Functional Safety requirements & associated diagnostics Please send your CV to Matthew Dewsnap if you are interested in the opportunity or call for a confidential conversation.
