Role: Cloud Infrastructure Architect - London - Linux - FS Background BG - AWS/Azure Location: London Duration: 6 months Rate: £550 - £650pd Inside IR35 Our client a leading insurance company is looking for a hands on Cloud Infrastructure Architect, This role has a broad remit covering all areas of infrastructure supporting the application portfolio. You will be working with and alongside other architects, partners and subject matter experts to deliver fit for purpose architectures/designs with active participation in Technical Design Authority/governance activities. This role is responsible for defining, delivering and maintaining infrastructure related architectures, strategies and road maps. In line with supporting the clients core infrastructure and business services, ensuring the integrity and availability of all systems and services. The role is identified as a senior resource within a project team requiring staff supervision. This would be as part of a project or service deliverable, where liaison with business managers and stakeholders to ensure the service and/or deliverable provided is fit for purpose Must be a hands on Infrastructure Architect and NOT a Solutions Architect and must have very advance experience in Linux both from a design perspective and operationally Amazon Web Services experience. Key Responsibilities: Define, implement and maintain the necessary artefacts (including principles, policies, standards, roadmaps and strategies) and tools required to support a coherent set of technical architectures Work with all necessary IT and Business staff to establish target technical architectures and migration paths based on business requirements, IT strategies and good value for money Deliver project work (both strategic and tactical) in compliance with relevant technical architectures, ensuring solutions are successfully delivered and fit for purpose Actively research and monitor technological developments that would improve IT by reducing cost and/or improving functionality in line with business requirements Take ownership and provide technical governance/consultancy for specialist area(s) and any architectural issues within that area(s) Provide technical consultancy to infrastructure and development teams where necessary to assist with project delivery and/or problem resolution Skills/Background: Financial Services/Banking Background Very Strong Experience in Linux (Ops & Design) Amazon Web Services Experience Cloud IAAS (AWS, Azure) Experience Please submit a CV no more than four pages long if the above matches your skill set, together with current availability.
