NPI Engineer Crawley £25,000 to £35,000 25 Days Holiday Bank Holidays Pension Occasional Travel Monday to Thursday 08:45 to 17:30 Friday 08:45 to 12:45 NPI Engineer required for a global manufacturer who are well known within their industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer or someone looking to begin their career within a company where they can become an integral member of the team. To apply for this role you will have a background within mechanical engineering. The role will also suit engineers with a degree or equivalent who are looking for their first step in engineering Within the role as an NPI engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacture of new products as well as ensuring that the quality of the products meet company standards. Most of the manufacturing process is carried out overseas and you will be responsible for advising these factories via Skype and email on how the manufacturing process should be carried out. You will be responsible for testing the products and investigating any quality problems that arise. From this, you will be responsible for implementing preventative action. Joining the mechanical team within the RD department, the successful candidate will work largely with products made of plastic and sheet metal so experience with these materials are highly beneficial but is NOT essential as the company can provide product focused training. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in the design of jigs and fixtures using CAD software. The company predominately use SolidWorks however candidates with experience using any CAD package are encouraged to apply. The role does require some travel overseas to visit the manufacturing site in China however this would be no frequent than once a year and all expenses will be paid.
