DevOps Engineer London £532 per day 12 Month contract Advantage Resourcing are currently recruiting for a DevOps Engineer to join a Global Oil & Gas company in London. Background To enable value to the Business through IT, our client continues to expand investment in data and analytics.They are in the process of developing a global-scale Data Platform, based on Microsoft Azure and open source components. Key Skills & Exp BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. Equivalent practical experience is a reasonable substitute. Minimum 3 years of experience on DevOps/SRE or equivalent Strong experience in Python or equivalent language Strong experience on bash scripting Strong Terraform experience Experience of ARM Templates, Azure CLI , PowerShell, Bash scripting and Git integration Experience of Docker and Kubernetes Understanding of Networking including Hybrid Cloud Experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure-as-code in a production environment CI/CD Pipeline Deployments through Azure DevOps (formally known as VSTS) Experience in the Linux environment and a good understanding of its fundamentals and internals: file systems and modern memory management, threads and processes, the user/kernel-space divide, etc. Understanding of Microservice based Architecture An understanding of application security and information security controls A good understanding of large-scale distributed systems in practice, including multi-tier architectures, application security, monitoring and storage systems.
