Overview
Winlight Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Fostering and Adoption service in Ipswich. The pay rate for this locum Fostering & Adoption Social Worker position is £28 per hour and is an initial 4-month contract. Candidates working in this team will have the opportunity to: Supervise and support foster carers ensuring the needs of Children in Care are promoted effectively through their foster carer. Manage a caseload of Foster Carers and facilitate support groups and learning opportunities for these carers. Work with a well-established and supportive team. Bring energy, enthusiasm and highly tuned communication skills. About Ipswich: Journey times by car from central London, Cambridge and Felixstowe are two and a half hours, an hour, and 30 minutes respectively. Norwich is just 45 miles away via the A14 and A140. Working in Ipswich you cross paths with lots of other professionals; everyone is really friendly, and all want to build really good working relationships. You have a great network of contacts and support there. To be considered, you must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in Social Work, Social Work Degree or equivalent) as well as at least 2 years in a Fostering & Adoption setting.
