Overview
Operations Manager Salary: DOE Location: Dover Port of Dover Cargo Ltd specialises in the handling, storage and freight forwarding of temperature controlled commodities as well as handling a broad range of projects and general cargoes. Located within its new facilities at the Western Docks, the cargo terminal sits opposite to the Channel's main shipping lanes and has direct motorway links to London and beyond, offering fast and direct access to UK and European markets. About the Role: To plan, co-ordinate and manage the operations of the Port of Dover Cargo Ltd (POD Cargo) in order to deliver operational excellence. To maximise profit and deliver first class client service, whether shipside or landside activities. Being instrumental in maintaining an effective and efficient operations whilst looking at potential opportunities through continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements of the Operations Manager: Minimum of 5 years' experience of managing, developing and growing operational functions within a Cargo Services function Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline Previous Operational Management experience Be able to understand, analyse, interpret and manage costs and provisioning's associated within an operations function Able to display strong planning and operational leadership Have a strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation If you feel like you meet the above criteria of the Operations Manager, please apply now
