Overview
Our client is seeking a production operator to join their production team, they are a leading supplier of ingredients to the food, beverage, and flavours industries. If you have previous experience in the pharmaceutical/chemical/food or beverage manufacturing sectors this would be highly advantageous The purpose of this role is to actively contribute to the company's manufacturing and continuous improvement culture. Flexibility in approach is required to maintain internal customer satisfaction. Main responsibilities include: Basic machine operation and packing Working within a controlled environment, handling of chemicals and raw materials Basic machine set up, cleaning and operation, complete packing operations to set standards Operation of plant and equipment (various levels of complexity), in order to mix, manufacture, transfer and pack product Collecting, accurately weighing and blending ingredients as per formulation as required with accurate labelling, note taking and record keeping Handling/ manufacturing products and raw materials by complying with the information within the MSDS’s, risk and COSHH assessments Use of manual handling equipment available for moving heavy ingredients e.g. product drums and packs Assist in the removal & disposal of all factory waste via dedicated waste streams Minimum skills/requirements: Numerate and literate Able to compound and pack materials Operate basic processes and equipment A good understanding of quality control systems An understanding of food hygiene Experience in accurate weighing and mixing ingredients. 1-1 Recruitment is one of the leading recruitment agencies for jobs in Winchester for permanent, temporary and contract recruitment solutions.
