Buyer Wolverhampton Permanent Competitive salary Monday – Friday 40 hours per week We are working with an established client based on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. It is an exciting time to join a business that is enjoying growth. They are looking for a Procurement Specialist on a permanent basis to take on this exciting new position. Working alongside the Purchasing Manager to source and develop supplier relationships in order to expand and develop the business. Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to: Sourcing new suppliers and assessing pre-existing suppliers’ performance Build new and manager existing relationships with suppliers Maintain and organise information on suppliers’ prices and products Ensuring the quality standards are to specification Forecasting and reporting market information to the business Supporting the business with indirect purchasing activities Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will have good working knowledge of the horticulture sector. You will need to be IT literate and have strong negotiation skills and project management. This role also requires you to have a full Driving License. This role would suit a self-motivated and organised individual who is looking for the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of procurement. This role will have a key part in the business development and would therefore be ideal for someone who has the continuous improvement mindset, looking to cost save and deliver market information that can bring growth to the company.
