Overview
Linux Engineer, Automation, Scripting, RedHat Harris global are currently recruiting for an experienced Linux Engineer to work within a Senior capacity in a global team for an industry leading organization in central London. You will act as an advisory / lead decision maker in the deployment of new monitoring tools, automation, and orchestration technology. As a Linux Engineer, you will partake in the following duties · Plan, design, and proactively develop server platforms · Configure and maintain server platforms to ensure reliable operations · Lead and participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all server hardware and software · Design and implement systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery to ensure effective availability, protection, and integrity of server infrastructure The successful Linux Engineer will possess the following skills and experience; · Proven experience as a Linux server engineer in large multi-site environments, · Experience of automation technology such as Ansible or Rundeck · Scripting knowledge (an language would be find) · Extensive Linux experience (RedHat, Ubuntu, Centos) · Strong knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, PHP, J2EE · Understanding of Infrastructure as Code: Design and security, configuration management, integration, deployment, performance monitoring and tuning, automation of infrastructure For more information and a full JD then please apply.
