Overview
I am currently recruiting for an experienced Category Buyer to work for a progressive and market leading online retailer. My client is a well-established business at the forefront of their industry, with continued growth year on year. They are looking to expand their Buying department and have created an exciting opportunity for a results driven Buyer, looking to take their next step in a role that offers scope and new challenges. Key duties and responsibilities will include: - Accountability for overall Category P&L - Identifying new opportunities in the market to develop new ranges and collaborate with new suppliers - Managing day-to-day commercial activities within your category, ensuring promotions and marketing activity is strategically managed - Negotiating supplier agreements, terms and prices - Budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis - Regular competitor analysis to identify market trends and pricing developments - Providing strong leadership to team members to build performance Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences: - Previous Category Buying experience within a wholesale / retail environment - Strong negotiator with proven success in achieving competitive margins - The motivation to continually identify new market opportunities and areas to improve category performance - Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative supplier relationships - Highly motivated and career driven with the ability to influence others and drive best practice Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment focusing on purchasing, sourcing, supply chain and management roles in Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
