Warehouse Shift Supervisors x 2 Who are we? A family run business established in 1996. The business has grown to such an extent that we turned our attention solely to soft drink and confectionery supplies and ultimately have become one of the largest independent wholesalers in the country. Who are we looking for? We’re looking for positive and energetic people who have attention to detail, to work alongside our wholesale retail products. The ideal candidates will have significant knowledge of the warehouse function with proven supervisory experience at supervisor level or above. They should have a desire to exceed expectations on service and delivery. This is an excellent development opportunity for the right person. You will be supervising a small team of around 3/6 people. Experience, Skills and Abilities: · A person with good understanding of warehouse RF scanning systems is preferable. · Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisory role. · Trained in Health and Safety. · Worked with computerized warehouse management systems in the past / present. · Stock management. Consistent and regular stock counting and stock taking activities. · Take full responsibility for materials coming in and the booking and quality checks to the standards set. · Monitor and control stock levels including FIFO for all materials. · Working alongside transport. · The ability to manage a small group of warehouse operators. · A counterbalance FLT license. · Maintain housing standards. · Develop training programs and train others in warehouse tasks. · Adhoc duties. What does the role involve? You’ll be supervising the unloading, picking, preparing, loading and putting away stock. This means getting stuck in with the day to day working of our Warehouse. The job will include the supervision of: By forklift truck, unloading & loading daily orders. (By hand also). Picking. Using a forklift truck and by hand. Using a forklift truck receiving in & checking products from suppliers. Periodical stock updates & checks. General warehouse maintenance and upkeep. You must have a current forklift truck licence. You’ll be given training and ongoing help. Orders need to be despatched on time and without mistakes. These are permanent positions for the right candidates after initial 12 weeks. Pay rate: £10.00 to £11.05 per hour Positions are available on the following Shifts 2pm to 10.30pm, & Nights 10pm to 6.30am which starts on Monday evenings, 40 hours per week paid monthly.
