Overview
My client, a global manufacturer of Piping systems is looking to bring in an Interim Supply/Production Planner on an initial 6 month basis. This role has been designed out of growth and you would be part of a team of 4 planners reporting to the Supply Planning Manager for the UK. This role will be recruited on a fixed term basis and not a day rate. Job Overview: The main objective is for the Supply/Production Planner is to take responsibility for maintaining an adequate supply of materials in line with demand and stock targets and in particular the Extrusion schedule. Create, Schedule and release production orders for materials Monitor production performance against schedule Communication of availability to sales Plan production lines efficiently in line with stock requirements and factory constraints Effectively respond and resolve, where possible, performance issues Maintain availability levels for the whole network on the materials under your responsibility Supply plan adjustment based on weekly review of month progress and order book To contribute to the successful development of customer supply chain collaboration Identify areas for Continuous Improvement activity, within the department and also with stakeholder departments Experience and skills required: Desirable - Degree in relevant field Desirable - SAP. Systems skills and strong excel skills are crucial Ability to work in a team environment in a fast paced manufacturing environment Interviews to be held w/c 23rd March and a start date of Monday 30th March
