Overview
Role Overview Sellafield Ltd are looking to recruit a Category Manager for our high performing Supply chain directorate. The role is based in the site operations team with a yearly contract spend in excess of £50m covering contracts such as Maintenance Repair Operations, Chemicals, Logistics and Utilities. This is a high profile position that has a key role in ensuring the Sellafield Site can function safely and efficiently. Deliverables • The Category Manager will support Sellafield Ltd and the directorate in the execution of the business and functional strategies. • Partner with stakeholders and lead cross functional teams in the development and execution of make v buy strategies. • Work collaboratively with the sourcing delivery team and take the lead in the proactive management of suppliers. • Maximise value to the business through the delivery of innovative progressive solutions, services and goods. For a full job description please contact john.woodhousesellafieldsites.com Essential and Desirable Skills Essential • Significant experience in Procurement/Supply Management covering broad range of products, services and developing contracting strategies. • Experience of leading major procurement activities, covering a broad range of products and services. • Leading a team, mentoring and effectively delegating work. • Meeting and exceeding targets, improving performance and implementing initiatives. • Ensuring that safety is a core value in the work place and that individuals are held accountable. • Challenging the status quo, embracing an open and honest culture and encouraging LFE. • Delivering value through Category Management. Desirable • Degree or equivalent. • Professional - MCIPS or equivalent in other related disciplines. • Wide ranging evidence of adherence to all legislative, regulatory and company procedures and standards.
