Overview
Our client is one of the UK’s leading main contractors. They are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the company on a permanent basis. Our client have an outstanding reputation in the market place as well as healthy order book. The candidate will be able to professionally liaise with clients and run the commercial aspects of the business. About The Role of Quantity Surveyor: · Producing valuations · Budgeting and forecasting · Management of sub-contract accounts · Resolution of contractual disputes · Forecasting · Producing reports · Maintaining steady workflow and turnover · Scheduling resources · Ensuring that projects in your jurisdiction run to budget · Delivering acceptable margins · Achieving or improving on agree budgets · Increasing client base · Ensuring preliminary costs run within estimated costs · Liaising and constantly communicating with management and Sub Contractors The Candidate: · Must live in a reasonable distance of Cobham · Must have three years post grad experience · Must have experience with residential projects · Must have excellent commercial acumen · Must have worked in a quantity surveyor position previously · Be dedicated and be willing to put in the hours required to achieve results
