Overview
Production Engineer Location: Wisbech Salary: £39,500 Shifts: 4 on 4 off - Rotating days and nights. Purpose of the role To ensure infrastructure and automated machinery is maintained. Support production to meet targets and customer requirements through continuous improvement and effective machinery repair, monitoring and maintenance. Candidate spec NVQ level 3 in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or Apprenticeship Ideally experience with food production machinery or something similar. Good analytical and numerical skills Excellent communicator (verbal & written) Role: To ensure the safe, efficient and effective methods of problem solving, repair, maintenance and rectification techniques. Maintain housekeeping standards within the Engineering Workshop and throughout the factory. Ensure machine downtime activities are documented thoroughly. Ensure stock is accurately and correctly issued and recorded from the stores. In the absence of the Engineering Management team, make yourself accountable and available to the relevant Production Manager. Responsible for maintaining and complying with Health & Safety standards thereby minimising the risk to themselves and others. Understand and comply with all relevant company site rules, agreements, policies and quality procedures. Understand and comply with all relevant legislative requirements and codes of practice.
