Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor A successful family run food manufacturing business. Job Purpose: Assist the Production Management team to ensure the smooth running of the lines. Responsibilities: Supports and assists the Production Manager in the smooth running of the production area Ensures all procedures are carried out in accordance with the Company Quality System Pump the correct product to the tanks for the production runs and ensure it is tested by the lab prior to filling. Ensures product quality meets, or exceeds, specification Ensures the production of products run efficiently and that staff are always supervised Manages staff breaks, rotas and holiday management People management responsibility including undertaking of return to work interviews, recruitment interviews, team briefings and disciplinary matters Sharing technical knowledge with team members to improve their capabilities. Mentoring, coaching & developing team members in company behaviours. Ensures an effective process of reporting and managing KPI's Utilises all available opportunities, enabling others to improve the way we do things Working closely with the Technical department Ensure good manufacturing practices are adopted at all times Ensure staff adhere to company hygiene / quality standards at all times To maintain effective communication channels with all members of the team. Requirements: Previous food product experience preferred Good general level of education preferably to HNC/HND standard in food technology and mechanical engineering or equivalent People management experience Salary & Package: £30-40k benefits.
