Warehouse Manager
Overview
Warehouse Manager We now have an excellent opportunity in our Bedford branch for a dynamic individual to join the company as Warehouse Manager. This role involves overall responsibility of the warehouse operation and leading your team to success. This role would suit a candidate from a similar role or a warehouse supervisor looking for progression. Responsibilities: - Ensure that material is accurately and safely stocked and that deliveries take place effectively. - Verify that the correct goods are supplied to customers and overweight vehicles do not leave our warehouse - Maintain batch traceability of our entire stock range. - Use and maintain 3 bandsaws. - Training and development of staff. - Maintaining a clean and well organised working environment. - Participate in the daily operation of the warehouse leading your team from the front. - An individual that has initiative and creativity to implement new methods of working to improve warehouse operation. - To maintain various warehouse checklists. Requirements: - Full UK Driving licence. - Fork-Lift Licence. - Band Saw experience is desirable but to essential as full training will be given. - Computer literate and ability to quickly pick up new computer systems. - Highly organised individual that can plan and manage multiple tasks. - An individual that can demonstrate efficiency to the warehouse team and lead by example. - A individual able to manage a small team and delegate work. - Working within an ISO 9001 or AS9120 or similar quality management system is desirable but not necessary as full training will be given. - An individual that has knowledge of working within an environment where batch traceability and identification is key. - A self starter with the ability to work with and manage an experienced team. Successful applicants will ideally have a background in working in a similar environment at either management or supervisory level.
