Overview
Manpower is recruiting for a Warehouse/Stores Person on a permanent basis, within a nationwide parts washer company, based in Bedford. You will be given the autonomy to be solely responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all branch areas owning the maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse and assisting in the overall operation of the branch. Your role will involve but is not limited to the following: Ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of all areas including the critical plant such as dumpsters and associated process equipment. Stock management of all branch stock including pre picking loads and utilisation of the company business systems. Unloading and loading stock including cages, drums and machines. Item arrival and goods receipt processing ensuring stock is recorded correctly and returned to the Distribution Centre. Assembly, testing and repair of machines. Prevent unnecessary waste of products, prevent unnecessary damage to material goods, vehicles, product and machines. Ensure the timely and correct storage and uplift of all appropriate waste from the branch. Maintain that all allocated vehicles to the branch are in a clean condition and any defects are reported to the Customer Service Team Leader. Operating the Fork Lift Truck. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a warehouse or stores environment with the ability to work independently. You must have excellent communications skills, be confident when dealing with people and have the ability to develop solid working relationships. You must be able to work off of your own initiative, have a positive and proactive approach and be a good team player. It is essential that you have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. It's important that you're self-motivated, reliable and keen to establish a career within a busy warehouse environment. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, however, they may rotate with a 7:30am to 4:30pm shift pattern.
