Overview
Solicitor Location: Tameside Pay rate: £30.79 Umbrella - £25.00 PAYE In scope of IR35 Long term contract Job Purpose: To provide legal advice and assistance and undertake legal casework under supervision of solicitors arising mainly in relation to Social Services issues -Child and Adult Care Main Duties and Responsibilities: To undertake legal casework in the area of Social Services To provide legal support to solicitors, mainly in the area of Social Services, but also in other areas of legal as required To provide administrative support as required To provide a full range of professional legal advice and services to the Council and it's various client departments, as required To undertake such other tasks as appropriate to the grade of the post, as may be assigned from time to time To maintain and follow appropriate office procedures and to provide relevant statistical and management information as may from time to time be required To support and cover for other staff, to manage/supervise other staff as may be appropriate, to participate in development appraisal reviews and identification of training needs and generally to make an effective contribution to the management and operation of Tameside Legal Services Essential criteria. Excellent knowledge of specialist legal area as set out in the JD Excellent analytical and research skills Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player IT literate Qualified Solicitor/Barrister Current law society practising certificate Experience of legal practice Provision of quality advice and knowledge Clear knowledge of Law Society Professional requirements If this role is an interest & you would like more information please call Courtleigh on .
