Overview

Our client is a global leading Services business that’s going through an exciting period of change. They’re currently seeking to bring a talented Finance Senior Business Partner into their organisation, in a highly commercial and business partnering orientated opportunity overseeing a number of key client contracts around the UK. This position will involve up to 50% travel, mostly in the London/Home Counties area but occasional wider UK travel will be needed. Context Within the UK, the business provides Total Facilities Management to Government Properties Agency which encompasses a number of the government departments, offering innovative operational and development solutions that have been built using the strong foundation of the organisation. Job Purpose: The key purpose of a Senior Finance Business Partner overall financial management of the contract is to support business leaders to deliver profitable and sustainable growth for services. Management of the Finance Business Partner team The Senior Finance Business Partner is responsible for providing dedicated, commercial and financial decision support aligned to strategic and customer priorities, to win good business and improve shareholder value. The Business Partner will work with a portfolio of business to challenge assumptions, influence decisions and make recommendations for efficiency improvements in order to sustain growth. Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted, visible and accessible point of contact to business leaders; providing commercial and financial decision support; challenge and insight into business profitability to drive future performance. Understand the customer landscape and their drivers to provide contract / service pricing, cash and margin optimisation recommendations, ensuring an acceptable balance of risk and return. Accountable for the accuracy of financial records, compliance, business financial plans and forecasts. Understand the value drivers of the business and provide guidance on contract / service performance including ROI, scenario planning, KPI analysis and benchmarking. Develop customer relationships to support successful commercial and financial negotiations regarding variable revenue such as compensation events / task orders, rebids and change notices. Ensure all payment applications are submitted and ensure all task orders are claimed within month. Support business leaders to deliver contractual obligations through identification of over and under delivery, performing root cause analysis, and making recommendations. Drive contract / service cost optimisation projects through profitability analysis and efficiency recommendations. Proactive identification, assessment and management of financial and commercial risks Drive contractual uplifts to support individual businesses as required Person Specification Qualifications: Must hold an appropriate professional qualification for the role (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or be qualified by experience Experience: Experience of NEC3 contract and client relationship, Commercial management of the complex contract Project accounting 2 years Management experience of Finance Business partners / Commercial managers Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels, both within the organisation and externally; Ability to manage one’s own time and to prioritise work effectively essential Thorough understanding of Excel, with the ability to develop reports etc using own initiative; Good/Excellent understanding of all aspects of the Finance function Attributes: A high-level focus on the achievement of targeted results.
