They currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Transport Planner to join their fun and fast paced office in Slough. The successful candidate will service the Windsor & Maidenhead Framework in addition to other major projects. About the Role To manage all staff under his / her department / core area effectively and encourage and motivate performance. Assume responsibility for financial control, quality and technical input for all assigned projects. Develop new initiatives and pursue opportunities through business development activities that will raise personal and company profile The role also involves the day to day supervision and management of managerial and technical staff and the co-ordination and direction of staff and projects where other design teams are involved Project managing / directing projects in accordance with Client requirements Ensure all project files are up to date and comply with the QA system. Ensure all new jobs are set up on PCL systems and monitor weekly information provided against key indicators. Contribute to the management of the Transportation Team. Manage client relationships and ensuring that their needs are met About You Relevant Degree or equivalent A minimum of 7 year’s relevant experience Membership of a professional institution (e.g. MILT, MICE or MCIHT) Alternative consideration given to significant relevant experience in lieu of specified education and professional qualification. Comprehensive understanding of traffic and transportation techniques, highway design and transport planning principles and a proven track record in project design and delivery; Good project management skills; Preferably conversant with and/or intermediate user of CAD design software; About the Benefits £45,000 - £55,000 per year 27 days annual leave Bank Holidays Private Health Care Continuous training and development Yearly Professional Membership of your choice Plenty of company organised social functions Our client is a people focused organisation.
