Retail Store Manager £35 - 40,000 Bonus & Full Benefits Maidenhead The Company Part of one of the UK’s most well-respected retail groups this business has continued to develop its offer and expand its store base. Their stores either anchor retail parks or shopping centres but are also a part of most UK High Streets and provide a complete shopping experience for a wide range of brand savvy customers. Now trading throughout most of the UK and with several more sites due to open this year, this is an exciting time to be joining as future career development is a real possibility. The Job As a Retail Store Manager, candidates can expect both a position with considerable challenges and a high degree of commercial autonomy. You’ll be: Tasked across a full range of operational KPI’s and expected to maximise sales through effective staff distribution, high merchandising standards and great customer service. Ensuring correct stock packages and a commercial store layout. Controlling a multi-million-pound retail business and leading and motivating senior managers and the team. Responsible for organising local events and promotions that understand local needs and appeal to the customer base. Making decisions on store visual merchandising, stock mix and the overall look and feel of the store. The Candidate Suitable people will need a depth of related retail experience gained within a large format retail business. Your experience can be from Department or Chain Stores, high turnover fashion or home outlets based in either the high street or out of town. Crucially you will bring a rounded management style be able to work with a variety of stakeholders and be adept at spotting commercial opportunity and reacting to the need of your customers. This is a complex business and successful candidates will have their skills and ability really challenged.
