Overview
MPK Garages Ltd are one of the top 50 Independent Forecourt Retailers in the UK. We are proud to be working alongside our new retail partner Morrisons Daily. During the next 12 months we will be redeveloping our existing stores and expanding our network. This provides a great opportunity for you to come and join our team and develop your skills in sales and forecourt retail. As the Assistant Manager you will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Store Manager. You will oversee the daily running of the store and be accountable for maintaining performance in the Managers absence. Be dedicated to delivering the brand, excellent customer and consistently high standards throughout the store and forecourt. What we are looking for: Ideally previous experience in retail Computer literate Aged 18 or over due to petroleum regulations To work 5 days over 7 to meet the needs of the business Own transport due to location To be successful in the role, you will need to be: Adaptable and flexible with a hands-on approach Be able to communicate to the team Be able to prioritise and meet deadlines Have fantastic customer service skills Role Responsibilities: To ensure all brand standards are met To be accountable for the store in the Store Managers absence To authorise the dispensing of fuel and monitoring the forecourt Ordering stock and receiving deliveries ensuring all shortages damages are reported within the correct timelines Ensure all the daily cashing, banking tasks are completed accurately within the allocated timelines in the managers absence Ensuring product availability across the store to maximise sales Ensuring policies, procedures are adhered to and the store operates in a safe and legal manner Ensuring that the store and forecourt are maintained to the highest standards To see in fuel deliveries safely and legally to meet the needs of the business To assist in stock replenishment and merchandising throughout the store To assist with training and coaching colleagues To assist with Food To Go and bakery In return 40 hour per week contract Training and development Staff discount Level 2 food hygiene training The opportunity to progress for those who want progression with the company
