Head of QA

Our client is at an exciting point in their history which is fantastic for you, if you are an experienced Head of QA looking to be part of something special. They are prominent in the Banking sector and although experience of the finance industry would be beneficial, it is more about having experience of Test Environments and Test Strategy that is vital. They have a number of global offices but the HQ and tech hub being on the Isle of Man. If you are looking for a hands-on role and the chance to shape a Test Department please read below. Opportunity: We are looking for a leader and crucially a team player and self starter with the ability to proactively drive the QA team and the QA processes throughout the business. Capabilities: Proven track record of leading a QA function ; creating and executing a test strategy, leading from the front and delivering strong results Test automation experience, ideally around API based integration's Experience of release management ; able to verify a build and releasing to different environments Ideally you will have developed QA processes from scratch and be able to instigate test automation while shaping and educating the team around you Be able to educate and train other stakeholders, including developers, security and external resources including third party test suppliers Capable of owning and maintaining QA policies, best practices and procedures Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA Agile methodology experience and can demonstrate developing a test strategy for a new product launch using 2 week sprints Comfortable in data management, collection, sampling and analysis techniques Exposure to compliance and regulatory frameworks, ideally financial services based. Profile: You absolutely need to be a 'self-starter' , someone that can join a team with varying levels of experience Passionate about customer satisfaction and excellence Effective communicator - both verbal and written Have a high level of attention to detail Able to work to tight deadlines and work in a fast paced environment.
