Overview
Permanent position or CIS available Home Based, rostered to work nationally across a range of clients delivering works across LNW, LNE, Wales, Western, Wessex, Anglia, Sussex and Kent routes. RSS INFRASTRUCTURE Limited (RSSI), has been recognised by Network Rail at the 2018 ‘Rail Partnership Awards’ for its work within the Rail and Construction industry, developing bespoke solutions for clients that deliver improved safety and productivity. We have established ourselves as a business that delivers staff and fully managed projects to rail and infrastructure customers countrywide. Within our nine business units the Signalling department is showing significant growth and we are looking to expand our team. We supply to most of the Principal Contractors delivering Network Rail’s CP6 work bank and our continued successful delivery, quality output and end product means the demand from our clients is increasing. At RSS Infrastructure, our consistent work bank and established business gives us the confidence to offer 130hr monthly permanent contracts as our primary employment method. We appreciate that everyone’s preferences are different and we do recruit zero-hour CIS contract staff. What will I be doing? You will be responsible for building and setting up any type of POE. Ideally this will include IBCL with conventional back-drive and tubular stretcher bars. Although, we are also currently undertaking work on HWs, Hy-Drives and HPSS. Holding an IRSE Licence Category 1.2.105 for Signalling Point Fitter, is a benefit, but not a necessity. If any applicant can’t meet all the requirements, we are happy to invest in training courses and mentorship for the right candidate. As a minimum we need someone who has the experience of working as a Point Fitter to New Works Standards on core works, so they have the understanding of what is required by the Testers and working to timescales with the PWay.
