Overview
Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Up to £40K Job Elements: - ·The design engineer role is a key role within the program team and organisation, being able to translate raw concepts and ideas into tangible solutions. ·The right candidate will have an enthusiasm for the design process, from concept generation and problem solving through to the production of a robust and cost-effective solution for our customers. ·Design product assemblies and components to meet customer requirements ·Creating 3-D CAD models and 2-D drawings conforming to standards and specifications ·Data management related to engineering data release and engineering changes ·Support and where needed lead the creation of design reviews ·Support and where needed lead DFMEA's reviews ·Data transfer with customers and suppliers ·Implement "lessons learned" where applicable ·Support problem solving activities ·Support new business opportunities, leading the design aspect where needed The successful candidate will ideally possess: ·Degree in Engineering or a comparable education ·Minimum of 5 years automotive industry experience. ·Minimum of 5 years Catia V5 experience. ·Automotive engineering experience working with customers and/or suppliers ·Plastics design and process knowledge - Injection and Blow Moulding Petrie Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
