Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Up to £40K Job Elements: - · The design engineer role is a key role within the program team and organisation, being able to translate raw concepts and ideas into tangible solutions. · The right candidate will have an enthusiasm for the design process, from concept generation and problem solving through to the production of a robust and cost-effective solution for our customers. · Design product assemblies and components to meet customer requirements · Creating 3-D CAD models and 2-D drawings conforming to standards and specifications · Data management related to engineering data release and engineering changes · Support and where needed lead the creation of design reviews · Support and where needed lead DFMEA's reviews · Data transfer with customers and suppliers · Implement "lessons learned" where applicable · Support problem solving activities · Support new business opportunities, leading the design aspect where needed The successful candidate will ideally possess: · Degree in Engineering or a comparable education · Minimum of 5 years automotive industry experience. · Minimum of 5 years Catia V5 experience. · Automotive engineering experience working with customers and/or suppliers · Plastics design and process knowledge – Injection and Blow Moulding Petrie Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
