Junior to mid level Java Developer Southampton Circa £30k Who are they? Our client is a proven partner of global industry leaders and young creative startups. They specialise in providing top-notch dedicated software development teams, custom development of web and mobile applications and systems integration services and believe in being reliable, delivering high quality software and taking a proactive common sense approach. The Role You’ll be collaborating with other outstanding Software Developers and be in direct touch with clients. You’ll be developing new functionality, addressing technical debt and resolving defects as you work towards meeting the clients requirements. You will be proficient with Agile practices and be willing to play your part in the team ceremonies. You will always be looking to ensure the team is delivering in the best way possible. The Person • You are a motivated team player and love what you do • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Great knowledge of Java 11, Spring, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, git • A firm understanding of web application concepts, including REST • Experience of Agile methodologies, ideally Scrum • Experience of the Atlassian suite of products e.g. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket etc • Experience of cloud computing e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Bonus Skills • Experience with frontend design and development e.g. React, Node.js • Experience of Mobile development e.g. iOS, Android, React Native • Experience developing plugins for Atlassian JIRA (Atlassian plugin SDK) • Knowledge of blockchain and related technologies Benefits: • Relaxed company office location and facilities • 23 days annual leave • Negotiable Flexi-time and home/remote working, subject to project requirements • Health benefits after qualifying period including dental care plans, GP service, therapies • Annual subsidised team Skiing trip • Free company events, hackathons etc
