Exams Officer Contract: Permanent Hours: Part time, 21 hours per week Salary: Circa £26,000 FTE p/a, depending on experience, pro rata for part time hours Are you an experienced administrator who prides themselves on their attention to detail and organisational skills? We are the Institution of Structural Engineers - the world’s largest membership body dedicated to the art and science of structural engineering. The Role An average of 1,100 members undertake our Chartered Membership exam globally every year and we need an experienced administrator with a proactive attitude to support with the entire exam cycle. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to further their administrative career within a membership and education environment. As Exams Officer, you’ll support the Exams Manager in everything from processing applications, producing papers and booking international venues, to issuing results and producing statistics. It will be your responsibility, along with your manager, to ensure that all exams run smoothly and that our members receive the best service possible. You should be comfortable working in an ever-changing environment and using your initiative when following a process to complete the task at hand. About You: We are looking for candidates with: - Experience of providing administrative support, ideally within an education setting - Experience of managing a database - Exceptional customer service skills - Excellent communication skills - Intermediate Microsoft Office skills in Word and Excel An understanding or experience of delivering secretariat support, i.e. producing agendas and taking minutes, would be beneficial to your application.
