Manufacturing Technician / Engineer; Excellent salary & company benefits; Based Scarborough McCain Foods are looking for several Manufacturing Technicians / Engineers for our food production facility in Scarborough. Candidate relocation will be considered. We are looking for ambitious, career minded, time-served qualified Engineer's who pride themselves in their high standards of performance and quality of work. Overview of the role: As a Manufacturing Technician / Engineer you are responsible and accountable for coordinating, organising and monitoring the implementation of plans to effectively operate Line(s) performance in your area. The role will ensure production targets and operational standards are met and will contribute to the development of safe systems, processes and people in order to deliver reliable and sustainable performance. Key duties: Understand and operate equipment for the area as per Standard Work Methods and Best Operating Practice Ensure all consumables for the area are appropriate and available within work area Continually monitor and carry out tests to determine if area quality is being achieved, taking corrective action when appropriate and informing all applicable parties. Input traceability production run data into a computerised system. Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks and improvement work within designated area Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and Root Cause Analysis activities, to identify and act on corrective actions to prevent repeat failures Lead on audits and the identification and resolution of non-conformance Take responsibility for leading specific area continuous improvement groups Enter accurate, detailed feedback on all completed tasks into SAP on a daily basis Ensure the upkeep and reliability of all plant and equipment in your designated area by feeding back requirements to the area Production Engineer Ensure that the area is maintained to 5S, Health & Safety and HFPE standards at all times Candidate requirements: Multi-skilled engineer with experience of managing industrial plant and machinery - Essential Good skills with Microsoft Office and ERP system such as SAP - Essential Understanding of Lean manufacturing and six sigma techniques, failure analysis, root cause analysis would be advantageous The package: Excellent salary dependant on skills / experience / qualifications Excellent career development opportunities Benefits include; Medicash (Dental, optical etc.), private medical cover, Life insurance (3 x Times death in service), excellent company pension (matched up to 12%), 25 days holiday Bank hols (option to buy and sell holidays), Subsidised canteen and other incentive and benefits.
