Demi Chef De Partie - Oxford - Education We are looking for a Chef De Partie in Oxford to support the head & sous chef in the provision of an excellent quality of food for College members, students, staff and conference guests. You will contribute to good kitchen teamwork and to the successful performance of the kitchens key tasks. Catering for up to 600 people a day, this is a busy operation that requires passion and dedication. Main duties; To ensure all meals are of the highest standard To adhere to time schedules in preparation and cooking of food Manage portion control Ensure minimum waste control and recovery of reusable food items Ensure your actions minimise risk to H&S as per rules set out in their policy To work flexibly to ensure effective team work To participate in any training to improve your standards of performance Person Specification NVQ level 2 & 3 and/or City and Guilds 706/1 706/1 Basic hygiene certificate, or equivalent Minimum 4 years experience in a commercial kitchen Experience of working in a college environment Ability to work as part of a team and flexibly Reliable, trustworthy and a good timekeeper This Chef De Partie role will see you working 40 hours per week over 5 days - predominantly split shifts. In return you will get a base salary of £23,700, Oxford staff pension scheme & six weeks holiday per year. You will also have use of the gym and pool plus meals on duty.
