Our client, an absolutely lovely company to work who are well established, growing and pride themselves on being unique, are looking for an experienced Administrator to join their Compliance Team. Summary As a Compliance Administrator you will be working to ensure that data protection and security is written into every aspect of the business as our client continues to grow. You'll be working across the business, and will contribute in the development and implementation of procedures and policies to enhance and maintain security within the business. You will be passionate about data, and enjoy communicating and explaining the data protection and security requirements. You'll also enjoy keeping up to date with legislation, best practice and continually making suggestions to improve the policies. Responsibilities Assist in developing and reviewing reader-friendly, easily understood data protection and information security policies, statements and guidance; Assist in maintaining existing standards with development and progressing our strategy for achieving ISO 27001 and other recognised standards; Effectively communicating the reasons for and importance of our policies, training staff on requirements whilst listening to and accommodating their particular needs; Liaising with clients and suppliers with regard to data protection and information security; Performing incident investigations, impact assessments, audits and other aspects required with reviewing, reporting and documenting all aspects of data protection and information security in order to maintain accurate records and files for organisation accountability purposes; Handling and processing of any personal data in a lawful, transparent and confidential manner; Assist in maintaining comprehensive records of all data processing activities conducted by the company and the purpose of that activity; Liaising with data subjects and clients in relation to individual rights and communicating measures that the company has put in place to protect personal information; and on-site witnessing of site inspections and system audits. What key traits you'll need Effective communication and collaboration skills; a good listener, with the desire to understand the needs of all parties regarding information security and privacy, including ethical requirements for competence and confidentiality. A self-starter and keen learner with the ability to gain the required knowledge, prioritising your workload effectively in line with the needs of the business. Enthusiastic - a keen problem solver with detailed experience and understanding of data protection and security principles, requirements and implementation.
