Manpower are delighted to offer an opportunity to work for one of our most prestigious clients; the position is to work for a highly respected business that offers technology and professional services to the defence, energy, space, intelligence and communications industry. Our client is looking to recruit a Test and Commissioning Technician to enhance their established team based at Portsmouth. It is the role of the Test & Commissioning Technician to install, commission, test and subsequently maintain equipment Set-up, configure and test existing equipment that entails electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge, ensuring that equipment works to its specification. Carrying out activities in line with the company's test procedures. Investigating mechanical and electronic problems, diagnosing/repairing faults. Install, commission, test and subsequently maintain equipment at TPG Portsmouth and on site when required. Work with engineering and technical staff to develop new and existing equipment. Ensure documentation and test results are recorded as required. Feedback design and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel. Run system demonstrations. To control and maintain professional standards within the test areas. Essential HNC/HND in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or apprenticeship standard Ability to read and understand drawings Decision-making / problem solving skills Strong self-management and organisation skills, and attention to detail Strong presentation skills, confident speaker and professionally presented when interacting with customers Flexible individual who is self-motivated and able to work well under own initiative Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Must be a team player Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK Candidates must have passed UK security clearance to Security Check level or be able to obtain this level.
