Overview

Application Support Engineer - Financial Services Application Support Engineer Would you be interested in working for a global financial services organization with a technology first approach? Joining an experienced team you will be the point of contact with regards to all scheduled processing (both in production and test environments) including intra-day and overnight batches, messaging to third parties, automated file transfers, data loading and processing for various data warehouses, reporting services and applications. What can you be expected to do? The team is also responsible for the day to day support of SharePoint and Qlikview. Prioritise issue resolution based on business risk and strive to devise and develop solutions appropriate to the urgency of the problem. Ensure there is regular face to face contact with users (predominantly IT users) Undertake small scale SQL development tasks Ensure that IT Operations' documented procedures are followed. Must have strong SQL skills, almost to development level. Candidates will be required to debug complex stored procedures to resolve time-sensitive production issues as they occur. Control M knowledge or knowledge of other scheduling tools is preferable. Support a number of bespoke and off the shelf applications including Cadis, Reporting Services 2008, IBM MQ Series v6.0 and Qlikview would be advantageous but not essential.
