Overview
A merchant bank based in the heart of London requires an Accountant to join their growing organisation. The successful candidate will work directly with the CFO gaining fantastic exposure and hands on training and investment. Role Responsibilities - Reconciling of transactions/invoices/credit card statement Running of employee expense system Monthly Bank reconciliations Monthly Balance sheet account reconciliations Monthly manual journals Monthly prepayment & accruals journals Quarterly VAT returns Cost recharge analysis and journals between companies Fixed asset depreciation postings Updating of investor interest schedules and calculation of 6 monthly interest payments Production of interest certificates Production and analysis of monthly management accounts across multiple companies Production of yearly budgets and monthly monitoring Production of cash flow forecasts for multiple businesses Updating of forecasts on monthly basis Treasury management on bond SPV's - maintaining invoice filing, getting confirmations for payments, making payments, liaising with forex traders for currency exchanges Desire to help develop, set up and administer processes & controls as the business grows Payroll administration Candidate Requirements - Proficient in Xero accounting Experience of hubdoc/receiptbank would be beneficial Part qualified or newly qualified CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent) accountant Proficient in excel Knowledge of VAT Proactive and able to take initiative and progress things on their own
