Overview

Network Architect / DNS Architect Location: Leeds (with some fully expensed travel required) IR35: In scope Rate: £600 per day Duration: to September 2020 initially You will be joining a very large Public Sector client based in Leeds. They have a new data network for health and care organisations. This new network is to replace a legacy system and it's move to the cloud and the introduction of a new DNS Service. Overall technical architecture and governance - managing architecture design and change, paying particular attention to the non-functional requirements such as security, performance, scalability, availability, cost and operations, as well as ensuring that architecture documentation is accurate and up to date. Legacy system close-down - including support for the migration activities, replacement of central services such as NTP and DNS, overlay strategy and management New system DNS - support for Peering Exchange, CNSP management and compliance, operational policies and guidance, IPV6 strategy Future network strategy - supporting the development of a future networking strategy for the health and care sector Supplier management - liaising with the DNS delivery partner to ensure the delivery to time and quality People Management - Assignment management of more junior Technical Architecture staff on the programme. Essential Infrastructure-focussed technical architect with demonstrable networking experience Knowledge of and experience of using architecture frameworks DNS (Domain Name Server) Networking experience 3rd Party management Assignment management of other technical architects Sought Cloud / AWS - Nice to have System migration and rollout AWS Solution Architect (Associate or Professional) certification Knowledge of core NHS and healthcare technologies INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT, NEWORK ARCHITECT, DNS ARCHITECT, DNS, DOMAIN NAME, IP, IPV6, NETWORKING, PEER, CNSP, NHS, PUBLIC SECTOR, GOVERNMENT, HLD, LLD, CLOUD, AWS, AZURE Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
