Community Programme Co-ordinator based at Selly Oak Live at Home. Available Hours: Permanent - Part Time - 25 hours per week. Can you organise an exciting programme of activities? MHA are currently looking for a Community Programme Coordinator to support the Selly Oak Live at Home Scheme. The Live at Home Community Programme Coordinator is responsible for co-ordinating and running a programme of activities to enable older people (60) to live later life well. Operated by MHA, Live at Home schemes offer services that aim to relieve social isolation and encourage older people to take an active part in the communities in which they live. Promoting independence and wellbeing for older people living at home is at the heart of everything we do at Selly Oak Live at Home scheme. MHA Live at Home Schemes operate across the UK, enabling older people to maintain their independence and live later life well and we are looking for an enthusiastic dedicated person to join our team. Our office is based in Northfield and we deliver our services throughout the South and West of Birmingham, supporting older people from Hall Green through to Sandwell. Having access to a car is essential for this role due to the spread of our services across South and West Birmingham. Members attending our social groups come to have fun therefore a good sense of humour and a "can do" attitude is key. The post holder will be required to develop new activities based on the feedback and needs of the local community; this could include partnering with other organisations and professionals, therefore strong communication and organisation skills are essential. Anyone applying for this post must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends as our services are delivered across seven days a week. Live at Home schemes provide social support within the community, there is no expectation of personal or domiciliary care and this is not a housing or care home role.
