Overview

Financial Controller position with high-growth business in Coventry. This is a rare opportunity with an innovative, fast paced company offering long-term career development. Reporting to the Group Finance Director you will assume responsibility for the full spectrum of finance operations, including budgeting and forecasting, preparation of management accounts, day to day transaction processing, payroll, cash flow management and auditing. As Financial Controller, you will manage a diverse list of tasks as well as leading the Finance team. This role involves liaising with the senior leadership team and departmental leads across the business, supporting them in managing their budgets and financial planning. Responsibilities include: Continually develop and promote a culture of continuous improvement across the Finance team with the most appropriate team structure and effective spans of control to deliver on finance performance targets and projects. Establishing and reviewing working practices, procedures and documentation across the finance department, including but not limited to timely collection of cash from customers and the payment of suppliers. Responsible for ensuring the finance system is updated and reflects accounting best practice. Promoting finance best practice both within your team and your key stakeholders across the business. Attending monthly financial performance review meetings with Group senior management to present and explain actual finance performance compared to budget. Producing monthly financial performance information for each EMEA entity and department, including actual results compared to budget with commentary for variances Engaging with stakeholders/departmental leads in monthly financial meetings to take them through financial performance to help them understand variances against budget. Management of Finance projects as identified in line with business requirements.
