SUMMARY To lead functional excellence in a team of line engineers focused on improvements. Responsible for generating and delivering plant reliability in all areas of the site. Responsibility for the KPI’s of the team and working closely with the line engineers to improve line efficiency and quality. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES KPI’s/other factors which this role will directly influence Be the lead engineer on site in the absence of the engineering FLM’s (out of office hours) Motivate the line engineers and record work completion through set KPIs. Lead and distribute workload within the team Responsible for work log completion and shift handover PPM & Corrective work compliance (Including maintenance systems improvements and supporting the team with IDhammer) Co-own MBD reporting with manufacturing, ensuring full RCA conducted with robust solutions implemented/planned To drive continuous improvement ideas and assist in cost savings initiatives or any projects given Work closely with Manufacturing FLM’s to assist in delivering broader site KPI’s (Waste, OEE) Full understanding of ratio > running > stopped maintenance Assist in achievement of department KPI’s and own objectives Provide specific detail of breakdown incidents and remedial actions to engineering FLM’s Assist in development & management of the line engineering team whilst raising any skill deficiencies Drive HSE through department and accident management procedures, including accident investigate initiation Manage external contractors on site out of office hours Develop a culture of autonomous maintenance Work with other TL’s to self cover TL holidays as overtime Assist with holiday/sickness cover management Ensure total compliance with all applicable corporate and legal standards (personal safety, food safety, quality, hygiene and environment) Flexible to suit business needs KNOWLEDGE & SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS Essential Time served engineer in Electrical /mechanical engineering Engineering experience 5yrs Leadership Technical expertise Demonstrate Coaching skills Good knowledge of H&S Good communication skills, written and verbal IT literate Team Player Ability to work on own initiative Be adaptable, flexible and demonstrate a willingness to accept changes in operational requirements at short notice Desirable Knowledge of basic baking techniques Leadership experience Food of FMCG experience Team management experience This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89946848
